Somewhere UNDER the Rainbow

We had a wonderful rain storm the other day. Clouds rolled in, the wind howled, lightening sparked and the rain pounded. When we lived in Pittsburgh, I didn't love rain storms because it rained every day and when there was a thunderstorm, it felt like it was 20 ft. over your house. Scary! But here, it is delightful. I would welcome more - if they came. After the storm, we walked out to see a beautiful rainbow right above our home. We felt like it was a gift.

A Few Happenings

Talmage's way of taking Caleb and the dog for a walk at the same time! Caleb loved it!

Between these two items, many hours pass through the day quickly! You can see how beat up his car is. The spider gives me the creeps, but he loves it.

Taking the training wheels off! Way to go!

Girls night out! We had fun, eating, shopping and going to the movie.

Boys night out. We enjoyed an evening under the stars watching Jon Schmidt perform. It was inspiring, hilarious and just plain fun.

The boys before the concert

Jon Schmidt .... a modern day Mozart.

This is Jon and his Cello friend, Steve ... or was it Scott? Anyway ... they played their "Love Story meets Coldplay" and it was AWESOME! Such talent! My boys were highly motivated to start back at the piano. They have taken a few months break due to the move and this is just what they needed to get them excited about it again. Thanks Jon for sharing your talent!

Collin opening his birthday gift from the Primary. They really made him work for it.

Braden receiving his 2nd and 1st class in Scouts. Way to go Braden!

Spending a day with my mom canning peaches from our trees. Thanks, Mom! We made 48 quarts. I just love looking at them. They make me so happy.

Sundown at the Land of Nod

This is a poem that Collin wrote the first week of school. I love it!

Sundown at the Land of Nod
I will be with treasures and kings
I can be sick and not sneeze
On top of mountains and not freeze
I will fly and flee and use powers
and save and capture
I will swish to all towers.
