We have decided to get rid of the TV for a while.  Here is how the kids took it.... I think pretty well, don't you?

You guys are brave! I know I should, but I love my shows.

You are the coolest. Let me know how it goes.

Curious to know how that goes. It's actually me that would miss it the most! I just love the DVR. My kids don't have a problem at all... but I like to veg for a couple of hours after they are all in bed... watching stupid, non-important stuff! :)!

Danae! I just caught up on all the posts I missed from a few months ago. You guys look like you are busy enjoying life. Your kids are growing up and you are looking beautiful as usual. I'm so jealous that you're getting rid of the television. I can't believe you're doing it during American Idol season. So brave. If it weren't for that show I think I would do the same(and also since our television is indelibly connected to our wall). I miss you guys. I wish we were going out to Utah to visit sometime soon. We'll for sure let you know if we do!

Danae, So funny. I just got rid of ours this last weekend. Things have been so much nicer. No more arguments about homework, Morgan even did the dishes one night. I might never bring it back! The kids are reading books and practicing piano. It's like a dream come true. I hope it works as well for you. Your kids look happier than mine did about the change. LOL

What inspired this? That is a big step! Did you eliminate it all together, movies included, or just the dish or cable. We've actually never had cable with the kids, but I love PBS and would struggle giving that up! Let me know how it goes!

We are pretty strict with our kids and the T. V. I let my little ones watch 1-2 shows, then they have to play. Otherwise they would just sit there all day!
